Aqualillies for Tarte: Eye and Cheek Palette Review

The summer and year ahead call for so much traveling for little ol' me.
Not only am I going to beaches, cottages, and night trips, next March I'm also headed to Europe/The United Kingdom (Wales, England and Ireland to be exact)!

I started thinking about packing and everything I would need clothing, toiletries and shoes. I pondered about all the makeup I would bring and the looks I would create. Then it hit me-"Thats a lot of stuff to pack!'

Thinking about lugging around a giant makeup bag filled with three different mac quads, bronzer, highlighter, blushes AND a naked palette seemed exhausting. Why waste space on that when I could use it on something more useful, like an extra pair of shoes, or even souvenirs after the journey?

Then, I had an idea: find a palette with it all! So, I was on the hunt. I searched the web for hours, trying to find the most convient palette of them all. I was about to purchase an old Benefit Cosmetics one, until I remembered the existence of the Aqualillies Palette by Tarte.

I first heard about this palette after it had swept the beauty community on YouTube. The colours were the first thing to catch my eye, especially Poolside: the beautiful, shimmery, blue shadow.

Then I ran to Sephora. I think this palette is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.
Whenever I purchase high-end products, I do my research. On the Tarte website, there was only one negative review out of the 50 or so that were there. Not to mention the good reputation Tarte seems to have around the beauty community on YouTube.

Costing around $38.00 ($46.00 in Canada), is was worth every penny.

This palette was exactly the sort of palette I was in need of. I have been searching for a good highlighter (Champagne) and peachy flush blush (Captivating) for ages. They did not disappoint  and when applied, give you a warm, summery glow that looks incredible. The only issue I seem to have with this palette is that it claims to be 'waterproof' which I don't see is quite the truth.

If you're looking for a natural, summer time shine palette, this one is definitely for you.
